Well done! The drawbacks are clearly explained. Cross-posted with pleasure. xx

ps

You should make a note that watching the film Marginalised Aadhaar on You Tube provides subtitles in English to understand the parts of the film which are in various Indian languages.

Very informative, always wondered if the digital ID would work, what happens if we have a major sun flare or downed satellites or power grid failures, wars, etc. Does the system loose all this information? Really believe the whole situation of control of the population will implode None of their ideas have worked and ended up just a waste of taxpayer's funds.

Many people, including me, cannot afford a mobile phone. Telstra charges me $12 per week for voucher credit, which represents four meals per fortnight from my age pension. In the near future, I will be destroying the phone, which is a financial liability and, longterm, an existential threat to my survival. I also have no intention of receiving an ID number. I imagine government will respond by illegally cancelling my age pension, which will unmistakably identify government as a robber and criminal who (corporate law makes corporate government a "person", therefore "who" is appropriate) violates the Social Services Act 1946. Any attempt to force me to comply will be committing "robbery with violence" and I am legally permitted to resist with equal force.
