Graeber was not an anthropologist. Graeber was the CIA plant who's purpose was to help hijack 21st century anthropology into oblivion because the Elites realizedback in the 70s 80s and 90s that classical cultural anthropology had turned out to be the only truly subversive field. Understand that the true field of cultural anthropology is the study of deep ecology and is structurally anti-civilization because whoever looks deep into it's hegemonic nature feels revulsion. Graeber's entire political purpose was to make people like yourself, who haven't thoroughly studied the likes of Marvin Harris and Robin Dunbar, believe that a better, and indeed worthy, civilization can be just around the corner. He is not an anthropologist because he only studied civilizational history. He studiously avoided hunter gatherer societies which are the foundation of the field because we can only know the nature of humans when they are free from political control.

Thank you reante.

I'll bear that in mind, I suspect it will not figure much in my own world which happily is not the one you seem to be advocating.

I think we are done here.

Why is that your suspicion and why do you say happily?

I find many reasons to be cheerful too. The truth cheers me up above all. Handling the truth is just a matter of developing that muscle, brother.

We are done. Your truth is not my truth quite clearly.

You know as well as I do that there is no my truth and your truth. That Charles Pierce quote was magnificent, and you shared it with me. We need to fearlessly walk the talk if we are ever to know the deep satisfaction that lies beyond cheerfulness. The two are not mutually exclusive.

Then Reason really doesn't mean that much to you. Reason is all we have because it is the accurate patterning of cause and effect, and cause and effect is all that the universe has.

I'm not a fan of Tim Morgan either. He kicked me out too in short order because he fears systematic (Socratic) reasoning, and prefers to cosplay up on his little soapbox in front of his followers. What else is new?

Gail's a good woman who's willing to change and grow in Reason despite her years. That's a rarity. I recommend that you lurk at her main site. Systems theory takes awhile.

What reason does or does not mean to me is of no consequence to anyone but me.

The main reason I am resisting shooting the breeze is that I have a business trip to the UK in a fortnight and my Daughters graduation this Thursday. My ficus is very much on my family and business , doing stiff rather than talking about it.

I see you read Michael Kowaleck, Michael is I think better placed than I to go into the weeds on all of this, much deeper than I can tread I am afraid deffo above my pay grade.

Keep well and be well

A collapse is not inevitable, an engineered collapse is not possible if not plausibly deniable. Lihop and mihop are acronyms for Let it happen on purpose or make it happen on purpose.

The 2008 financial crisis was avoidable and the response to it negligent/corrupt .

The 2019 Event 201 was again at best an exaggeration and at worse a mihop with a hugely negligent response.

The fear of a collapse is almost as usefull to those gaming the global financial system Fear Doubt and Uncertainty FUD coupled to FOMO fear of missing out cause irrational “over exuberance “(greenspan) or “madness of crowds” (mac kay ).

I accept and realise that events such as the bronze age collapse or the medievil year without sun can happen and may happen again, there's a massive solar stor. Today for instance which cause volcanic and seismic activity hugely destructive locally and sometimes regionally and less often even rarely globally.

Millinerianism is a thing personally I am not persuaded by the various flavours on offer.

Desiderata by Max Ehrman.

Desiderata: Original Text

This is the original text from the book where Desiderata was first published.

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.
